Colleagues of Professor Fritsch would send him copies of reprints so that he could cut the figures from them for his 'scrapbook' (later the Fritsch Collection) - and this is why some reprints in the Freshwater Biological Association's Library are missing pages!

As the FBA is no longer able to subscribe to many of the journals, the Fritsch Collection is again grateful for any donations of algal taxonomic reprints.  Once donations are entered, the full author reference is added to the citations database on our website.  If you would like to donate reprints please see contact us for our address.
